The event took place on April 27, 2026, at Strathearn Historical Park, a venue rich in local history.
Established in 1989 by Lew Roth, a dedicated school board trustee, the foundation continues to recognize those who significantly contribute to the educational community.
This year's ceremony honored seven outstanding recipients for their dedication and service:

Over 140 colleagues, friends, and family members attended the reception, underscoring the community's appreciation for these individuals.
Attendees also heard heartfelt remarks from Lindsay Roth, granddaughter of Lew Roth, who shared insights into her grandfather's enduring legacy.
Several honorees reflected on their careers, with three announcing their upcoming retirements.
Notably, Sarah Gerfen was recognized by a former student who spoke about the profound impact she had during the student's middle school years.
The evening highlighted the ongoing support from community partners and education advocates in Simi Valley.
As the foundation continues its mission, events like these serve as a reminder of the vital role educators and volunteers play in shaping the future of local students.
Looking ahead, the community is invited to participate in upcoming events at Strathearn Historical Park, including the Strathearn Park Barn Dance on May 8, 2026, featuring live music and a chuck wagon BBQ dinner.
Such gatherings not only celebrate local culture but also support the ongoing efforts of organizations like the Simi Valley Education Foundation. |
