Featuring the boys and girls club and panda cares center initiatives |

Boys and Girls Club leaders in Simi Valley are reshaping how local kids experience learning outside of school.
The recent unveiling of the Panda Cares Center of Hope at the Simi Valley clubhouse has created a fresh sense of excitement among students and parents alike.
Panda cares center staff have worked closely with longtime club mentors, transforming a bright, modern space into a hub for academic support programs and inspiration.
On any given afternoon, laughter and focused conversations fill the air as children work together on STEM challenges or dive into creative projects geared toward building confidence and curiosity.
According to local leaders, these academic support programs are more than just tutoring sessions—they are lifelines for youth who need extra help or a safe place to flourish outside school hours.
The addition of new computer equipment and learning tools has quickly made the space a favorite for students trying to keep up with digital age demands.
Parents have noted how both the Boys and Girls Club and the Panda Cares Center have brought renewed hope to families seeking quality programs close to home.
With rising academic pressures and lingering effects from recent school disruptions, clubs like these in Simi Valley are stepping up to provide structure, encouragement, and skilled guidance.
Local officials say the focus on STEM, arts, and life skills gives area youth stronger tools for future success—and an outlet for creativity and connection rarely found in standard classrooms.
This partnership signals a new chapter for community-driven education, with the hope that more local organizations will invest in similar academic support programs for students across Simi Valley. |

Cool news but I will believe the long term impact when I see it. A lot of these things start strong and then funding dries up. Hope Panda Cares stays committed past the ribbon cutting stage.
Really hope other local businesses take notice and do something similar. Simi Valley has a lot of families who need affordable quality programs. One center is a start but we need more.
Walked by the clubhouse last week and you could hear the kids laughing from outside. Nice change. That building used to feel pretty quiet. Good energy coming from in there now.
The STEM focus is nice but I hope they are not forgetting kids who struggle with basic reading and math. Not every child is ready for robotics challenges. Hope the tutoring side gets just as much attention.
I grew up going to the Boys and Girls Club in the valley and it honestly kept me out of trouble. Good to see it still going strong and actually growing. This city needs more of this.
How many kids does the center actually serve? Would love to know if there is a waitlist because I have been trying to get my son into a good after school program for months.
Great to see Panda Express putting money back into the community like this. Not every big company does that. The new computer setup alone is probably a game changer for a lot of these kids.
My daughter goes to the Boys and Girls Club after school and she came home the other day actually excited about a project she was working on. That never happened before. Whatever they are doing over there is working.
