Simi Valley Pioneers Bounce Back with Dominant Win
The Simi Valley High Varsity Football team surged back into the win column on Friday, August 28, defeating Shadow Ridge 35-7 at home. Behind a relentless rushing attack led by Salvador E. Villa (who accounted for over 270 ground yards), the Pioneers controlled the tempo from start to finish to lock in their first victory of the 2026 campaign.

Salvador E. Villa — Simi Valley High Football
The junior running back/free safety has been the early engine of the Pioneers’ offense. Through Simi Valley’s first two games, Villa is averaging 243 rushing yards per game and has scored four touchdowns. He was singled out in MaxPreps’ recap of Simi Valley’s 35–7 win over Shadow Ridge after another big performance.
