Softball and baseball All-Stars turned an unforgettable summer into championship runs, record-setting performances and a first-ever World Series appearance. |

Simi Valley had plenty to celebrate on the diamond this summer as two local youth All-Star teams reached remarkable milestones in softball and baseball.
The Simi Valley 10U Girls Softball All-Stars capped an extraordinary season with a 119-9-1 record. After finishing second in their district, the team placed fourth among 25 teams at the State Championships before winning the inaugural USA Softball Pacific Coast Tournament of Champions — one of the highest levels of competition for players in their age group.
The 16U Colt Baseball All-Stars made history of their own. After becoming Super Region champions, the team fought back from an early loss at the West Zone Tournament to win four straight elimination games and capture the West Zone championship.
That comeback earned Simi Valley a trip to the International Colt World Series in Marion, Illinois — the first appearance by a Simi Valley team and, according to the Acorn, the first from Ventura County.
The players competed against teams from across the United States and internationally, while Simi Valley’s Connor Barwick added another distinction by earning World Series Batting Champion honors.
Both teams were recognized by the Simi Valley City Council for seasons that showcased talent, perseverance and hometown pride.

Great runs by both teams. Hopefully next year even more Simi teams make it this far!
Fourth place out of 25 teams? Not too shabby. The girls should be proud.
Shoutout to Connor Barwick! Batting champ at the World Series is a big deal.
I remember playing in these leagues back in the day. These kids are crushing it.
Anyone know if any of these games were streamed online? Would've loved to watch!
Glad to see the city council giving them some recognition. Hard work pays off.
Congrats to both teams! Simi Valley is on fire this year.
Amazing job girls! 119 wins is no joke!
