Simi Valley shoppers will soon have another grocery option.

Whole Foods Market

has confirmed that its first Simi Valley location will open Tuesday, November 10, at 2631 Tapo Canyon Road.

The new 35,203-square-foot store will be the company's 96th location in California, bringing its selection of organic produce, specialty groceries, fresh foods, and prepared meals to the community.

The store will occupy the former Bed Bath & Beyond location at Civic Center Plaza, bringing new life to a retail space that has sat vacant since 2021.

What's Coming to the New Store?

The Simi Valley location will carry more than 1,500 products from over 390 California-based suppliers, including several from the surrounding region.

Shoppers can expect fresh produce, a full-service meat and seafood counter, an artisan cheese department, and a bakery offering freshly baked breads and desserts.

For convenient meals, the store will also feature hot food and salad bars, pizza, made-to-order sandwiches, and freshly prepared sushi.

Regional products will include smoked salmon from The Santa Barbara Smokehouse, craft beer from Ventura County breweries such as MadeWest and Topa Topa, and other California-made specialty foods.

Opening Day Perks

Doors will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10.

The first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Simi Valley tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon offering savings of up to $100. Visitors can also enjoy complimentary product samples and coffee during the opening celebration.

Giving Back to Ventura County

The new store's opening will also benefit the broader community. Whole Foods Market has announced food and monetary donations to Food Share Ventura County, a nonprofit that helps distribute food to people facing hunger throughout the region.

Wish they had kept a Bed Bath & Beyond, but at least it’s not empty anymore.

Alex P.Yeah, I miss Bed Bath & Beyond too. But at least something useful is finally coming in. Emptiness there made the plaza look sad.
