Royal boys water polo: The Highlanders enter the Division 2 postseason after a strong fall campaign, with Chino Hills visiting on Thursday. Royal previously defeated Chino Hills 10–8 in a September meeting, but playoff competition offers a fresh challenge.

Football playoff selections: October 30 closes the regular season for 11-player football in the CIF Southern Section. Playoff brackets are scheduled for release Sunday, November 1. We’ll track which local teams qualify and their first-round assignments.

Girls tennis and other fall sports: Girls tennis completes regular-season competition October 28, with CIF team brackets scheduled for October 31. Regional girls golf competition begins October 26. Individual qualifiers and local postseason pairings will be shared when confirmed.

🎓 Alumni in the News / Who’s on the Move

College signing season is approaching. November 11 begins the early signing period for Division I basketball and the signing period for many other NCAA Division I and II sports. Football's early signing period starts December 2.

We are watching for verified college commitments and signing announcements from Simi Valley High, Royal and Grace Brethren. If you know a local athlete celebrating a commitment, share the school announcement so we can recognize the achievement.
